NAME: James Churchman
SQUAD NUMBER: 0
ROLE: This left-handed 'starting' batsman (as his partner put it) has a lot to answer for following his disappointing form as of late. Nonetheless the bookies have faith in 'big batted SMJ' to pull through as second highest run scorer. He has been seen to offer intricate finger work with the ball, laying down the dibbly-dobblers with class that only Glen McGrath has displayed before. James does have a history of verbal abuse and aggressive sledging towards opposition, but authorities have full faith in umpire Gulrez to tame the Australian with his hairy iron fist.
DEEF EXPERIENCE: More experienced in longer formats of the game, James tells of his excitement to broaden his horizons, "To be honest with ya mate, as long as there are tinnies I'll show up."
THOUGHTS ON THE TOURNAMENT: “Well I've been thrown in at the deep end with Turner - we've been having to schedule training sessions to end before 8pm due to his 'family commitments', which has been limiting. But na y'kno mate I'm just delighted to get the call up! It's a prestigious event and to play amongst the likes of Myself and others is a real honour. I welcome the challenge with open arms and it welcomes me with open legs."
