NAME: Rakesh Joshi
SQUAD NUMBER: 96
ROLE: Rakesh ‘The Meg Destroyer’ Joshi is known primarily for his outrageous batting prowess, but only in the nets. However with the help of his fans (the female Hugills slaying his ‘incrediballs’ before the tournament, and erecting his confidence) he threatens to release his testosterone filled rage onto the deef circuit, and combined with a spontaneously spinning right hand, is one deefer to certainly watch out for.
DEEF EXPERIENCE: From the time Rakesh was a young foetus, cricket has been his one and only passion, forced into him by his Basque heritage. Despite cricket not existing in such a country, Rakesh nurtured his talent by smashing away wrecking balls with a pencil, which he subsequently used to continue his other passion of revising.
THOUGHTS ON THE TOURNAMENT: “Despite being placed in a completely irrelevant country to me, I am keen to show to my new found mentor and part time Rabbi Henry Moses Staveley, that deefing is as holy to me as the Torah is to him. I hope I can smash the critics, especially Meg and Christine Hugill, and defy all odds, to pull off a ‘swooping’ victory. #fuckoffpugh, #youcantevendeef"
